Cindy Roberts is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience driving corporate strategy, brand development, managing reputational risk, and navigating complex challenges. Her career began by co-founding a boutique communications agency that secured a strategic Atlantic Canada affiliation with Hill & Knowlton and was later acquired by Arlene Dickinson of the Venture Group.
She has held senior leadership roles across both the private and public sectors, including serving as a key member of Swissair’s global crisis team during the Flight 111 tragedy and as part of Hill & Knowlton’s national crisis team.
Her expertise spans economic development, corporate strategy, corporate affairs and public markets. She has worked with global brands such as Microsoft, Pfizer, New 7 Wonders of Nature, Sustainable Marine and Shell Canada. As Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Meta Materials (META®), she led marketing communications, investor relations, and government relations, playing a pivotal role in the company’s transition to a public listing on the Canadian Stock Exchange and later NASDAQ. She was later appointed Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Chief of Staff.
Cindy actively volunteers in her community. She has served as Chair of the Crew Events and Protocol Committee for Tall Ships 2000, Chair of the World Youth Sailing Fundraiser, VIP Coordinator for the 2003 IIHF Junior Hockey Championships, Communications Chair for the 100th Anniversary Marblehead to Halifax Ocean Race, and an executive board member at Sail Nova Scotia. Most recently, she was on the Steering Committee for SailGP in Halifax.
