ESG and Sustainability Advisor
Nancy Foran is a seasoned executive with decades of experience in sustainable business, and corporate governance. She founded an award-winning company, focused on ESG and sustainability. Her experience spans multiple industry sectors where her focus has been on sustainable growth and innovation, creating opportunities for social change and environmental stewardship while delivering measurable economic value
She has worked with a multitude of organizations, from start-ups to multinationals, financial institutions, governments, and regulators – both domestically and internationally – and has a strong aptitude for providing valuable strategic guidance and understands what drives success.
Having worked on both sides of M&A transactions, she brings deep knowledge around what’s required to scale a business and attract capital and investment. Global insights and international experience allow her to offer insight that helps companies navigate regional and global sustainability challenges while ensuring alignment with international best practices and standards.
Nancy is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), a Fellow of the profession (FCPA), and Chartered Director (C. Dir.). She is also educated in the leading global sustainability standards and frameworks including GRI and TCFD and is an FSA Credential Level 2 candidate in ESG with the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (IFRS/SASB).
Nancy has facilitated in the ICD Director Education Program, delivering a module on Enterprise Risk Management and ESG. She serves as Chair of the Sobey School of Business (Saint Mary’s University) Advisory Council and the Board of Directors for the Halifax Chamber of Commerce and their Human Resource and Governance Committee. Previously, she served the Institutes of Chartered Accountants for the Caribbean and Asia Pacific as a Board Director and served on various committees including the Member Development Committee (Chair) and Public Financial Management Committee.
